Turbolenza has interviewed one of the top class skydiving athlete, Ippo Fabbi, that last May has celebrated his 40 and half life spent up in the air.

His name is known around all world, his videos talk by themselves and have inspired many people, his way to fly is fast and his vision is always ahead. Ippo is definitely one the best flyers on this planet and recently, turning 40 years old, he officially got a true wing. In fact, he started to jump at the age of 20, so we can easily say he spent more than half of his life in the sky.
It was the 1991 when he saw on television something that was really rare to see at that time and that it has blown his mind away: few images about skydiving, people sliding a see-through door of a plane and jump out of it. Filippo decided he wanted to try. He did is first jump in Reggio Emilia and since then he grow up in the sport and he himself has contributed to the development of the human flight.
In 20 years Ippo has collected 18,000+ jumps, proudly flied just learning in the sky. He became Freestyle World champion in 2001, World Air Games and World Games Champion in the same year, six times gold medal for the Nationals, being part of all the Freefly Euro and World Record in head down formation.
Regarding the human flight, he has a very simple and clear concept: fly in every directions, every positions and at any speed! - Speed is precision and high control, fun and adrenaline! – Mr. Fabbi says.
But what he loves most is to fly fast! Exactly like the upcoming skydiving future. So “Don’t be too slow otherwise you gonna find yourself behind!”
