The Soul Flyers Fred Fugen, Vince Reffet and Jean-Philippe Teffaud are on a permanent « flying trip » ...all over the world!

They have just been to Florida, USA. The first stop was in Sebastian, a really cool DZ located 2h south of Orlando, on the Atlantic coast. What a view from 4000m! A Freefly camp named «flight camp» was organized there by Anna Howerski on the last week of March.
The goal of the camp was to teach people how to fly in groups during angle jumps only and at high speed. It was also a way to bring a bit of the European flying style into the US, through Fred, Vince and Kristian Moxnes from the Skywalkers Team. Three other coaches working currently in the US were there to complete the team: Luis Prinetto from Skydive Sebastian, Scott Palmer from Deland and Selwyn from Paraclete. So it was 6 coaches there to fly with the people, all divided in groups of different levels, going from 8 to 16 flyers per group.
There was 60 flyers registered, all doing minimum 6 jumps a day with the coaches. Some really nice jumps have been made, taking the flyers in all different angles, flying fast, with back and belly trackers getting in tight formations for maximum fun, while safety was always a concern. The 2 best groups of flyers got together to make a 30 way out of 2 otters, to build a double formation, led by Fred and Vince, flying next to each other and crossing a couple times, awesome skydives!!
This first camp has been a success and everybody was already thinking of the next edition…..we’ll see what happens!
Many thanks to the people who helped organizing this camp (especially Anna) and the staff of Skydive Sebastian, who has been really welcoming.

The «Florida trip» wasn’t finished yet as the Soul Flyers went to Skydive Deland for another event the week after: Skydive Expo, second edition. This event gathered all kinds of skydiving manufacturers, to present the latest products. There was also seminars to educate the skydivers about safety and many other topics going from different flying technics to equipement use. And great parties as well!
And during the 3 last days of the event, some load organizing in all disciplines including Fred and Vince for the freefly and Stéphane Zunino from FLYYOURBODY for the wing-suit.
Thank you to UPT and Performance designs for organizing this event, and Skydive Deland help.
Next stop Australia! The Soul Flyers are going there for 2 events, a wing-suit camp and The Funny Farm boogie ! And Vince had a stop at the new Singapore tunnel on the way to OZ.
to be continued….
