Will Penny and Babylon goes to fly in Dubai with the purpose to create wonderful images for a movie.

From the 25th Jan to the 30th the entire team Babylon, nine flyers, went along with two Russian friends; Constantine Mak and Artem Ges Dmitriev to Dubai.
The main purpose of the trip was to discuss a collaborative film project between Gazprom(Constantine Mak and Artem Ges Dmitriev) and Babylon Freefly. The idea was to meet in a beautiful place and to discuss the project, spend some time together in preparation for the short film.
The trip was short yet intense and some beautiful jumps were made over “The Palm” and in SD2 the Desert DZ. Focussing more on artistic flying and capturing the jumps in an interesting way, the results were great. Most of the jumps included nine flyers and two external camera flyers.
Flying over Dubai was beautiful and the contrast of colours ensured that the images generated were unique. Not to mention having the entire team along with our Russian friends was simply magical. The staff of Skydive Dubai was welcoming and treated us exceptionally well. Like most skydiving trips we were pleasantly surprised to find friends from all around the world at the two DZ’s and we were happy to make some new acquaintances.
So all in all the entire trip was a great success and we will be producing a short film. A teaser trailer will be released shortly and then we will film the final project at Skydive Empuriabrava during the spring/summer 2012.
Special thank you to Gazprom and all the staff at Skydive Dubai and last but not least to Al Neyadi Nasser and the Crown Prince of Dubai for making us feel so welcome in their country.
