Toogoolawah, Queensland, Australia. Big wing suit formations over the kangaroo land by Fred and Vince. The goal: fly double formations crossing at high speed!

For the second year in a row, the Soul Flyers Fred and Vince went to Australia for an awesome skydiving trip. This year JP Teffaud, the Soul Flyers videographer/photographer, came along to bring back even more nice shots from many good jumps in this great country.
The plan was to go to Toogoolawah first, at Skydive Ramblers, to organize a wingsuit camp with the 5D crew, and then going to The Funny Farm Boogie, somewhere with some people…. !
For the second year, the Soul Flyers / 5D wingsuit camp has been a success. 38 wingsuit flyers, mainly from Australia, came to fly multi directional formation flights. There were 2 europeans this year with us, Jeff «GV» Huck from France and Havard «l’type» Flaat from the norwegian Skywalkers team. The goal of the camp was to run tight formations in different angles and speeds. There was 3 differents groups and the speeds and angles of attack was increasing smoothly depending on each group level.
Fred, Vince and Hayden from 5D were coaching the groups, rotating so all flyers could jump with all coaches. Once the wingsuit flyers were able to maintain a nice proximity with each other, the goal was to fly double formations, lead by Fred and Vince. Proximity is mandatory on these kind of jumps as we did some over under and crossing at high speed ! The remarquable difference with the camp of last year was the number of peole flying on their back. This year we could have some awesome 3D formations with sometimes as much people on the back as on the belly! So we could also integrate some switch between formations of belly flyers and back flyers. We’ve totally seen a great increasment of the general flying skills of the OZ WS flyers: good job mates!
Safety has been an important point as well so everything went smooth, and a lot of fun. Awesome ambience, great level of flyers and a super cool DZ, all the ingredients for a good camp.
Special thanks to the 5D crew who did a great job on organising the camp and to the Skydive Ramblers Toogoolowah DZ for the welcome.
