Speedriding is a relatively new wintersport and only in the past few years has it really taken off. The sport involves flying down a snow-covered mountain, wearing skis. Using the skis to provide one with enough speed to take flight, the rider then has the choice of flying a high line above the mountain or staying closer to the surface and skiing more. Using the wing has allowed riders to make previously impossible runs down a mountain. Due to the angle of flight one can chose to take off and fly over trees, rocks, crevasses at any given time, but beware its not called SPEEDRIDING for nothing this is a super fast moving sport.
